Shifting a Job Search into High Gear at WSU Oakland Center!

The Defense Employment Transition Program (DETP) is a FREE comprehensive re-employment
program specically focused on the defense sector. This unique program oers foundational skills for the
professional in transition and is highly customized to meet each individual’s needs.
Participants have the opportunity to pick and choose which parts of the 10-week program are relevant for
their needs. The components of the DETP include:

  • Individual Personality, Professional Interests and Workplace Skills Assessments
  • Personal Strategic Employment Plan
  • Professional One-on-One Coaching
  • Education Workshops and Hands-On Clinics
  • Mock Interviewing

This is a free program open to Michigan residents that are unemployed or underemployed – you do not
need to be a recipient of unemployment benets to qualify for this program. The DETP was developed by Wayne State University and is funded in partnership with Macomb Community College and the Department of Labor.The program begins with a half-day orientation session that describes each of the above components in more detail and provides an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

All sessions will be delivered at Wayne State University’s Oakland Center located
at 33737 West 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48331
